and you play with what you have. We all know the QB situation has not been healthy since R Perrilloux, playing catch up with inexperience, now development. (Some things just don't work out)

We all scratch our heads when we run on 2nd or 3rd and long, or gamble with a trick play, but applaud when the plays work, still scratching our heads?

Being undefeated at 7-0 and #6 in the nation would be desireous for most other 120 Division 1 teams, despite time management issues, and if we won...#3 in the nation with Bama up next, think about it.

Recuiting has almost always been in the top 5 -10 every year and the riverboat gambler has served us well over the years with a NC and conference championships, and overall, represents LSU well. We unfortunately can't win a NC every year and are positioned to climb back, despite our weaknesses. Would a positive attitude with support do more to deliver those results?

I'm sick and tired of people think we win the national championship in recruiting. Who gives a shite how many 5 star frickin receivers we have. Stars are given to 16 and 17 year old kids playing other 16 and 17 year old kids. It's all based on potential. Someone care to look up Auburn's last 4 years of recruiting and see where they stack up. They were clearly the better TEAM and better COACHED yesterday. Potential is based on opinion.

Troy went nose to nose with us in 08, but I bet we didn't look twice at any of there players in recruiting. La Tech last year, same thing. I think our piss poor coaching is nuetralizing our talent.
Bottom Line: Les was given a golden palace and is slowly, painfully turning it into a turd. It is his fault for the Quarterback situation the way it is. Sign more qb's you dumbfrick.

hard to believe you might perfer less stars and less potential as seen by major recruiting rags

Might we have been the better team and better coached if RP had worked out or if our QB development were better, and just imagine if we had Cam Newton instead of Auburn? Bet we would have won with Cam as would many want-to-be #1s in the top 10.

Let the Perrilloux shite go. Don't make excuses. We could sit here and IF all day long. I want players who can play. Hester was 2 stars, Keiland was 5. So what do stars mean???

How much longer before people stop using Perrilloux as an excuse?

Just curious.

Please take rest of him too. Perhaps you drop him in dessert or a missle silo or the place where Sadam had the WMD that were never found. Hey, maybe that's where they're hiding the super special offense that he has had under wraps.

Recruiting ranks 06-10

Auburn: 10, 7, 20, 19, 4

LSU: 7, 4, 11, 2, 6

We recruit a little better, but not by much. Its a pretty even match up. We dominated them last year at LSU, they dominated us this year at Auburn. This is how the series has been, with 08 being the exception.

Close games happen, even to teams that shouldn't be on the saem field. Bottom line is that we have won these games. Of course, most fans see these kind of games as losses for whatever reason.

It's not an excuse rather a fact that #1 national QB recruit which discouraged other good QBs from signing with us that year, set us back tremendously. hmmm, kinda similar to Zack Lee this year which ended with bad luck, IMO. Everyone was thrilled to get both players!

Yep, we need help at QB and need it quickly, but with more improvement at that single position, everything, like a well oiled machine with all the parts working together, might appear we better coached and playing for another NC?

Or do we start in on the defense for not stopping Cam?
