I don't want to play Bama because I think they're the ONLY team that can sniff our jockstrap this year in class

Posted by BaronD I hope the voters have enough sense not to give Bama a berth in the BCS without having won their own conference. Makes bad precedent and makes absolutely no sense. They can dodge the SEC Title game entirely.

But there might literally be no other team to put against us. Plus, I think that will shield us against losing the SECCG and being left out.

I wouldn't mind a rematch in New Orleans.

That being said, we have to play an extra game, the SECCG, in Atlanta, ANOTHER big away game for us, to get into the championship. Bama wouldn't.

Before Oregons loss tonight, I was all for a "play in" scenario, both teams having been beaten by LSU, and having the winner get their shot at redemption. Hell, even oklahomo winning out could've put them ahead of any kind of rematch, but that fell through too.

There are still more games to be played though. We have Arky at home, and Bama still has to get through the Iron Bowl...

I don't give a frick. If we play Bama, so be it. We'll just have to monkey stomp those frickers in New Orleans. They don't scare me.

The satisfaction of beating Bama twice in the same season, once to claim an undefeated, undisputed national championship may be too much for me to ever fully enjoy anything else in this life.

Yeah, if this were to happen I think I'd best just end it now because it wouldn't get any better than that.

It would mean that winning, on the now meaningless Nov. 5th, was the worst outcome because it forced that team to go undefeated, and play an extra game just to get a one and done rematch with a team they already beat on the road.

They don't deserve it?

Weak schedule...

Who cares? Let's do it. We gotta whip someone's arse to win a NC. Might as well be Bama

Though the matchup would be BY FAR the toughest, how sweet will it be to beat Nicky on the biggest stage after beating him on the big stage earlier this year.

It would end the Miles vs Saban debate once and for all.

However, losing would be absolutely devastating.

...and if LSU loses a game, are they deserving of playing for the NC?
