I don't understand this narrative that Ole Miss is some Little Sisters of the Poor program

They're right there with LSU with what they spend on baseball, they recruit pretty close, their stadium and atmosphere are right there, same with their other facilities.

LSU isn't some major step up in terms of resources so why will Bianco suddenly start making more than 1 College World Series per 20 years?

Spoiler alert: He won't.

This would be like LSU trying to hire Jim Harbaugh away from Michigan and expecting to win multiple national championships with him.

Bianco has had everything he needs to compete for national titles at Ole Miss and he just hasn't done it, hell, they're ready to get rid of him.

This isn't a lateral move but it's so damn close that I doubt either party would even consider it if Bianco wasn't a former Tiger.

The rank 4th in baseball spending. Over $5 mill.

They only seem that way because their coach is an underachiever.

People have to tell themselves things to justify if we make this hire why it is such a great move. No other reason than blind faith.

That or they're applying football standards to baseball programs.

Or they're just ignorant homers.

But I have to say that it would be deliciously sweet if we end up with Bianco and he wins multiple national championships and goes to the cws more years than not. How infuriating to Ole Miss. lol.

I don’t want Bianco…but LSU baseball is a better job than Ole Miss and LSU football is a better job than Michigan.

Where do you think they rank as a program in the SEC

Maybe, but it isn't a very large step up in terms of resources

PREACH!

Too many on the board see a guy who played and coached as an assistant and automatically think he’s what’s best for LSU. Never mind the fact that he has almost the same resources, same recruiting pool, similar facilities, or a similar fan base. He’s “one of us” and that’s all that matters in the retard’s minds. Forget the fact that he has been at Ole Miss longer than he was at LSU (maybe his loyalty changed), never mind the fact that he’s had multiple preseason #1 teams and could not stamp a ticket to the CWS, never mind the constant waste of talented rosters the likes of which could only be compared to Les Miles. He is a great man and a great coach. But he is not an LSU head coach. He’s a Smoke Laval clone…

The sad thing is that some actual Little Sisters of the Poor programs have been to Omaha more than Bianco in his 21 years.

Have you not been looking at this board for the past two days. No one thinks he is what’s best for LSU.

To be fair you are leaving out that all those positive things about the Ole Miss program are because of him and weren’t there before he made his impact.

But he hasn't done anything with it. That's my point.

And LSU won't give him some kind of secret potion that suddenly makes him a great postseason coach.

Teams that have made it as many times as Bianco during his time as a head coach: Coastal Carolina, Cal State Fullerton, Fresno State, Kent State, ULL, Rice, Southern Miss, Stony Brook, Tulane, and UC Irvine.

They've been to Omaha ONE TIME in the past 21 seasons. They won 2 games and lost 2 games...That's not good. They're a middle of the pack sec program, despite having the second best fiscal commitment behind only LSU, and that is unacceptable. They have a top 5 budget in baseball expenditure and recruit pretty well. Their actual success doesnt match their commitment to success. That can mean one or a couple of a few things. Either, their coach isn't developing players, their coach isn't making the right decisions and managing the ballclub well, or they are playing teams with superior talent on a regular basis compared to themselves. It's the coaching. I do not want bianco bc he hasn't proven jack shite.
