I can’t believe it’s game week; It’s time to banish negativity and be a fan

At least for me. This is the game and team I fell in love with as a kid. Being overly analytical and critical ruins it. It’s going to be a fun season.

When is it ever time to be negative or not a fan?
Win,lose, or draw im always rootin for the guys who bust their britches to represent LSU and Louisiana the right way.

I hate that personal insult crap. Being realistic and skeptical is one thing. Calling the man names is another IMO.

You call it negative, I call it critical. And there is plenty of time for that if you want the program to succeed.
Sit back and let the AD do whatever they want to do and see how long it takes to plummet to the bottom

it's not being "negative," it's being realistic. Look, I want us to go 15-0, but there are issues. We can still be a fan, yet acknowledge those issues.
Being a fan doesn't mean you have to also be a blind homer.

No one knows what this team will do. I choose to be positive until proven wrong.

I’m excited about LSU football, seeing Burrow and the Defense.
I’ll be concerned and skeptical in areas that warrant it, you be positive about everything and the game will still get played Sunday. See how that works?

Sometimes it's better to clean house and start fresh. It's all about the long-term health of the overall program, not pulling for the wrong guy just because he wears P&G.

LSU is going to steamroll the 'Canes and show everyone just how good they are. This is a double digit win team, easily.

This. I am very analytical and have been extremely critical of LSU the last 3-4 years. I have basically ruined LSU football for myself. Time to enjoy the ride!

“Negativity and be a fan”
We have had people be negative about LSU football when Nick was here, when Miles was here, and now when Coach O is here. It’s nothing new.
We can talk about the need to have less negativity until the cows come home, but the only thing that will decrease it is wins.

I don't understand the pure hatred coach O gets. Hell, how do you come back from that? How do you start cheering for the team that you've been ripping on for months?

It ain't like walking through them gates to sell cokes in the stands at the USC game in 79 anymore...
Nice thought though

Show me where people have been ripping the team.
Who has real hated for Orgeron?
I think they said he’s a bad to average coach. So far that would be an accurate assessment.
Why make up stuff and lies about other fans who have been around for 20+ years over simple opinions?
Just go root for LSU and stop letting it bother you so much.
ETA : I’ve been corrected, justice hates him. And has a valid reason.

True or False question:
Is skepticism and negativity the same thing?

They don’t understand the two. It’s the same posters.

I'm excited for LSU football and will always be a fan.
I'm also skeptical that all the questions surrounding this team will be answered in a positive way.
Critical analysis is a part of following any sport that I enjoy. I wouldn't do it if I didn't care. It's possible to compartmentalize everything without being considered negative or hoping for the worst.

Stop building strawmen for O. Team does not equal Orgeron.
I can't wait for the season to get underway so we can finally get some of the fact and fiction separated. The obvious shilling for O that's been going on all summer has gotten unbearable.
