just find it humerus that Miles has been lambasted for not winning EVEN MORE
While wins are what count in the end, the real issue with Miles wasn't that he didn't win enough.. it's the way he coached and the way the players played. If he would have appeared willing to make an adjustment, he would have been a great coach instead of just a winning coach IMO. Any adjustment, at any time. Series to series, half to half, game to game, season to season... if at ANY time in the past decade had he proven himself willing to adjust anything, I think he could have won a lot more games. And fans would be a lot happier.

Instead, we got the same old nail-biting games, yet they were somehow boring at the same time. The game has changed a lot since Miles' era, and it's like he never noticed. His style seemed to work for a while, as if everyone else forgot how to defend against it. But there is a reason his style went out of style... once you figure it out, it's easy to beat. Every other coach but Miles realized this. "Three yards and a cloud of dust" works as long as you get those three yards every down. If you get stuffed on one play, your drive is basically over. And given that this style results in 12 and 14 play drives, that's just more chances for the defense to find that one play to end the drive.

Like OP, I'm ok with losing a few games as long as the product on the field looks like an actual attempt to win the game rather than simply a contest of who is willing to grind harder and longer.

Unlike OP, I guess, I think that our players and staff can win a lot of games in dominant fashion now that someone willing to make adjustments is in charge.

Yeah, frick that. When you have had a taste of the good life, Capital One bowl invites just don't do it for you anymore.
