Its one thing to be upset about a loss like last night.

Its another thing for people to want to fire everyone and say that Les has been a failure.

People say we underperform with our talent. Where the heck do you think that talent came from. They were recruited by THIS staff. I sure as shite don't wanna here assumptions that anyone could get this caliber of players to LSU because it didn't happen before Saban. We have also seen plenty of programs trail off after great coaches left so don't act like miles just gets all these players because he saban coached here first.

I dont think having your team show up motivated and ready to play more than once or twice a year. regardless of talent level, is too much to ask.

clearly that is acceptable to some rantards.

There is a substantive talent differential between LSU and Alabama, particularly on defense.

He learned from past mistakes and became a better coach, instead of doing the same boneheaded shite over and over again?

You give Miles a pass for 2006 but not for 2005 Tenn? Why? 2006 was a waste of the most talented roster LSU ever had. 2005 was the hurricane disruption.

we blew a 21 point lead in that game. IT WAS ALL COACHING. The game he got a pass on was the SECCG in which we were burned out after playing like 10 or 11 straight.

He was building a program. He took over for DiNardo

He took over a decimated Bama program and flipped them over in ONE year. Saban was lost 3+ games every year at LSU but one.

Bama has had more than 2 losses once

This post is absurd; we didn't lose to Bama last night, nor was Bama the only team to beat Ole Miss. Whether its Les or the players, I'm sick of losing the way we did last night.

And it could be much better!! Look at BAMA. Look at OSU. Look at FSU this season with a FR QB? It could go either way. And Saban accomplished what Mikes did in only 5 years taking over a much worse program in comparison to what Miles inherited. But stats and the state of the program now in comparison to BAMA are ok with you, and that is fine. Just don't beat us up who expect the best in everything. You are more the rule, unfortunately for LSU football, than the exception.

If you are obsessed with comparing LSU and Alabama then you have issues. People need to forget about Saban and Alabama except for one Saturday per year. You might actually enjoy LSU football again.

The assumption that if we fire Miles things WILL be better is the biggest misconception I see among LSU fans.

It creates these ridiculous comparisons and expectations. We've had as good a run the last decade as any team in the country with maybe the exception of Bama and for some fans thats not good enough.

What do you expect LSU fans to think about a team in their own division in their own conference??? Is this any different than Michigan/Ohio St.? Or it used to be with Texas/Texas A&M? Or with Texas/Oklahoma? Or a hundred other examples? Over all success is measured by comparison to those teams.
Too many people suggest that LSU fans feel that way because of Saban, when in reality it's succeeding against your biggest rival! Back in the Charlie Mac days it was the same---good seasons, but real success was measured by beating the Bear and Alabama.

- Our talent is not as good as AL. Saban has the best classes in the country. We hit from about 10th into the teens with an occasional top 5. All that BS about us being #1 in recruiting this year - doubt it happens.
- Our talent is just not developed as well. Never thought we would see such a weak in the trenches LSU team on both sides of the line. Must be an issue with work ethic because I doubt it is Moffitt.
- Our talent is not getting as good of teaching and game day preparation from our coaches.

Bottom line is we are 2nd tier SEC like all the rest behind AL. We have declined to losses against an OM team with half their defense out; losing to what is an average GA team and hoping we can hang with AtM and the TCUs of the world.
Nothing special except a competitive team but not close to dominating any longer. We lost that one on 1/9 and it is not coming back next year either.
LSU has an intermediate problem that may or may not get fixed. We don't pull in the remaining top kids from LA like Dupre, Noll, Willis, Fournette, Hootie, etc, etc - We have problems long term.
So whatever you do - no booing with recruits in the stadium. That is all we can control.
We pull these studs in this signing class then lay it out for the future next season and fill the field with freshman and sophomores. Tell these kids it is on them and play for 2015 forward.

There's nothing ridiculous about comparing our 22 to Ole Miss 22 last night

We continually lose games to inferior opponents and most of the time there is glaring reason why

My assumption is Les will not sniff another title so I would rather swing for the fences then operate out of fear and keep miles
