Slaughter's slide changed the complexion of the entire game, no way around it.
Also, Florida has a distinct instate advantage, but we've got to find a way to recruit pitchers at their level. the 4-year grinding guys like Poche are nice, but Florida wipes their arse with first rounders.

because A. we see Florida often enough to respect how good they are, and how they do it
B. we didn't have an inflated record that gave us big heads. LINK
OSU's was +3 and Florida's was +7 (!!!!). we had no change.

Well there's no way the NCAA was going to let a pedo team win the CWS.
LSU or Florida, it was going to swing one way, that's the world we live in.
