Simply because he was never "Alleva's guy"....Alleva acted like a little bitch when Herman wanted to talk to Texas and took his ball home back to the sloppy seconds, Orgeron.

Some of you guys have a strange way of telling which way the wind blows.
Alleva is married to Orgeron more than any other AD in the country to their respective coach. Plus, he's an underqualified guy who was given the job.
