Hypothetically, would Coach O survive a 5-7 record?

Depends on if the buyout or the tarps to cover the upper decks would cost more.

There's 12 million reasons why he would.

LSU isn't going to go 5-7. If you are that fragile then go jump off of a bridge or something.

But no....he's not going to be gone after this season. Probably under nearly any circumstance.

Agree - the blame game has already been set up. Injuries, lack of depth, Young team nonsense and suspensions (not my fault if after a year as head coach, kids are getting suspended).
That said, LSU is not going 5 - 7 - probably 8 - 4 to 10 - 2

Pub..... I want to believe and hope that is what happens. LSU is in trouble with this clown in charge. Alleva is bad as well.

Joe Alleva is our AD. He's going down with the ship which means there is no way O gets fired after this season.

The key to getting rid of O is getting rid of Joe first. If you think LSU can go 10-2 you are either being paid by O or seriously delusional. I possibly could see 8-4 but no way in hell does this team go 10-2. More likely 7-5 and is that considered a success? What record will you be happy with next year?

5-7 would be horrible, I can't see us doing that. Just no way this team can't find a way to be 8-4 possibly 9-3. We aren't as bad as we looked. I'm ready to see improvements in the penalty department though. We have to shore that up to compete. If we don't we very well could have a losing season.

Yes. After just one season LSU is not going to pay 3 coaches (Miles, O, new coach) to coach the football team.

That $12 million figure might as well have been $120 mill or $1.2 billion. It's irrelevant because LSU already decided last Nov. they aren't firing Ogeron after one season, thus the buyout isn't "real" money

He gets a minimum of two years and frankly, probably 3 because the 2019 recruiting class could be a good one for LSU

It's hard to say, knowing nothing about his overall health.

I would be happy with you giving the guy a chance before you lose your mind like everybody on this board has done for the last week. He lost 1 game this year. To a team that could very well compete for the west and is on the rise. Give him some time we have depth issue at virtually every position except for DB. In 2 years when he is coaching a team of his own players and has the personnel fixed then we can all freak out and burn this bitch to the ground. Until then watch the games and cheer on the tigers like true fans should!

I would say he wouldn't survive. TAF is on the hook for huge liabilities. TAF is still in the fetal stages of The South End zone Club addition amortization schedule. I wouldn't be surprised if he does. We will see just how much more political clout does the powers have. The LSU Bos, King and Alleva vs TAF
