Vol QB Joshua Dobbs, I believe a sophomore, threw for 301 and rushed 166 last night in an amazing overtime victory at South Carolina. He's shown promise since he first replaced the starter a couple weeks ago. A former 4 star (Scout) out of HS, like Jennings and Harris, my question is would he, at this stage in his career, look as promising if he were currently in a LSU Tiger uniform or would he be similar in effectiveness and productivity to our current guys?

Who knows? LSU fans have been traumatized by years of crappy QB play, but Cam is only in his second year. His first QB recruit is Harris.

Before Cam, I don't think our problem was all about development. We recruited some guys who had no chance to be great. A lot of our problem was in scouting.

You can throw out all of that recent history. Let's see what the situation is in 2015 and 2016.

Of course not. What a silly question.

I wouldn't say that the guys that played qb for us didn't have the talent. They just didn't benefit from a a play calling standpoint. OK before you say les miles holds them back he just does not call a lot of the bubble screens and combo routes that you see from WVA,Oregon,aTm. Schools like these set you up for the guys to pass for a lot of yards.

Tennessee coaches are also in their 2nd year yet this kid is lights out so far. Started 1 game so far. True sophomore has thrown for 192 on Alabama and 301 on s. Carolina. Rushed for 100 on Bama and 167 s. Carolina.

He has less experience than Jennings but is much better at this point.
