He didn't sack the QB every snap he played. In other words, he didn't play anywhere close to good enough for the rant.

Don’t let the fact that he was getting manhandled and allowing rb’s the go by him untouched cloud your vision

He didn't do anything significant. Although he was injured last year and hasn't played in a game in about a year, I think the expectation was that he would still make some noise here and there against a very inferior opponent. He surprisingly didn't though. Hopefully with more reps, his natural abilities will take over.

Like a guy who missed a whole year due to a freak injury and is still getting back to full speed

He didn't play as much as most probably thought but he didn't look good to me. Blew his gaps on one play allowing a huge gash run. He looked hurt and rusty to me. He probably shouldn't be playing. He still has a limp.

Like his number, imho had 0 impact in the game, if I didn’t know he was playing I wouldn’t have known he was playing

No. But I do remember hearing he might have been questionable due to an injury even if he wasn't suspended for that game. So maybe he is still not 100% due to another injury because Kelly seemed to be very impressed with him leading up to the season.
