FL game doesn't get played and we get screwed out of an SECCG berth because of it?

Is there a point at which we put down our pride and desire to be "right" and just play the game on Nov 19 at Florida?

A victory on the field > a moral victory in that case, no?

I'd feel fine about it...because it would give LSU an opportunity to plead our case to the nation and show what a bunch of pussies UF was for doing this, and the SEC for being complicit in their handling of it. And for good measure, we'd get to point and laugh at BAMA for skating into Atlanta on a technicality knowing they got beaten by LSU.

So, yeah...I'm for standing up for principles here. Sometimes doing the right thing means you don't get what you want. That's kind of what make it a principled stance, right?

I'm not afraid to write the SEC a sternly worded letter regarding this issue.

Wouldn't feel very good about it.
If by some chance Bama and Ole Piss have losses to us, I bet we will play the game on the 19th to make sure this doesn't happen.

Lot of work to do to even have to worry about it.

you honestly think we'll turn down a game in Gainesville (if it's order by Sankey) on Nov. 19 if we have a shot at winning the West???

The only way this game gets rescheduled is when it starts to involve more teams than LSU and Florida. The bama Tennessee game loser will be impacted by the LSU/Florida game being played; and if bama is the loser, they can't afford to wait until they play LSU to start lobbying.

Only if Fla/ ponies up $6 million for the loss of the home game and reimburses LSU for any expenses they lost because "UForfeit" cancelled the game when it could have and should have been played.

No. The East and West should crown their champions off of playing in their own division for this year only. That's the simplest way to fix that problem should the Vols drop 1-2 games to West opponents.

I agree, but this would have to be decided fairly quickly (like now). Try getting Bama to agree to "division only record" champ if they lose to a 1 conference loss LSU.
