I dont get yall interest in who wins that game. We have to play both teams.

Yep, but we only have to BEAT both if Bama wins. If A&M wins, we only have to beat A&M. It's really simple.

Ah, the voice of reason. Let's just forget about the way we've won the SEC West four times and depend on the way we've done it once in the entire history of divisional play. We've gone 8-0 in the SEC exactly one time, in 2011. FOUR other times we've won the SEC West without going 8-0, and two of those times we went on to win the national championship. Doesn't it make sense that we'd want to keep our chances of doing that intact, and not just depend on going 8-0?

Don't even try to explain it. These are the people that believe a 1 loss season isn't successful at all and want Miles fired, even if we win the national championship and miss the BCS method.

For those that say "who cares," I'd like to remind you that college football isn't a single game elimination tournament and 1 loss doesn't end your season. It's just nice to know that it's easier to recover from.

I didn't say we can't. I said I'd rather not HAVE to.

FOUR TIMES WE HAVE WON THE SEC WEST WITHOUT GOING 8-0.

ONCE WE HAVE GONE 8-0.

Let's keep BOTH options open. BOTH of our national championships came when we didn't go 8-0 in the SEC and so had to concern ourselves with what happened in other games.

How fricking stupid are you people?

I couldn't be further from this, and I still don't care who wins this game and still think Bama goes in dry.

Look, we get it

So does a loss to lsu

If you can guarantee today that Bama will lose to LSU, then I won't care who wins the Bama-A&M game. Since you can't, I'm going to avoid the stupidity of thinking it doesn't matter who wins that game.

I think the chances of winning both are less than the chances of winning one of them.

No, sadly, you don't.

You realize it's not a given we beat Ole Miss and Arkansas too, right?

I'll start caring about needing help when we need it. This game is meaningless to us at the moment.

Incidentally, that was the last time ANY team has gone 8-0 in the West. It's not just possible, but probable the West champ has a loss.

Usc losing meant we were top two in the country in line for an NC.

Bama losing isnt nearly on that magnitude

and, if i'm not mistaken, with that USC loss, and us hoping to win, it would mark the first time since the late 50's that we would be ranked #1 in the AP during a season. that was a lot of built up tension coming on the verge of that USC announcement. we knew beforehand if USC loss and we won, we'd be #1 during a season for the first time in 50 years.

You don't want help before we may need it? I'd love to see Bama get knocked out of the West race right here. Having little to play for against us can only help.

I've laid it all out in this thread. Basically, Florida and Arkansas are our "free" losses at this point, where we can lose and still win the West without help as long as we win all the others. This would turn Bama into a "free" loss as well.

No, I just don't care. Bama is more than likely winning this game, and I'm not investing any rooting interest in this game. I have more important things to worry about, like picking up my dog's shite in the yard.

The issue with your logis is we can have one "free" loss. The second we get another one, we're in some trouble. I'm going to shoose to not concern myself with the what ifs at this point.

Yes, A&M winning is the lesser of two evils. But frick them and their fricking miserable fans that post on here. I'll never support anything they do.

I think it will be easier to beat A&M at home versus Bama on the road. For that matter I definitely want Aggies to win. It would allow LSU to lose in Tuscalosa and still control their own destiny. Plus I will admit I would like to see Saban shite in his diaper again.

I hope this helps explain to you why an LSU fan would be rooting for a Bama loss. Any further confusion, just ask.

Here's why i want Bama to win.
I don't like any team in the SEC West, or SEC for that matter. But what i really don't like is when teams like Ole Piss, the Faggies, R-Kansas, or the Moo Cows think they are getting good and can compete with top of the SEC. Sure they'll beat the good teams from time to time, but for the most part I want LSU/Auburn/Bama/UF/UGA (when they are good) to step up and kick those teams arse when they start thinking they are better than they are.

I like seeing UF remind Ole Piss they aren't there. they belong in the mediocre tier of the SEC, and same goes for the Faggies.

I would like them both to lose, but i hope Bama arse rapes A&M again and reminds them they ain't shite.

Of course it's fun to win the SEC, but it's a lot funner to beat Bama doing it as opposed to them losing to Ole Piss and the Faggies and us getting in over those two losers.
