Oklahoma's run under Switzer is a happy one for Sooners.
Nebraska's run under Osbourne is always met with positivity from those in Red.
Miami's resume in the 80s has all manner of swagger.
The Spurrier & Meyer years at Florida leave nothing to be imagined.
Fulmer's tenure at Tenn ended unfavorably for him, but quite celebrated overall by the Vol faithful.

Will LSU's Miles era be an ever constant reminder of "what if"...? Or will we forget all the missteps & someday embrace the successes?

He didnt turn the LSU program around. Saban did. Les had many years with Saban's recruits. Since then the program has been successful in terms of winning %, but not in terms of titles. And it will continue that way

Depends on who comes next. If we get the next Saban, people will be eternally pissed at Miles just like they are with DiNardo, even though DiNardo actually made this a somewhat desirable destination after the Hallman trainwreck.

If we go the USC route and hire a dipshit, followed by a degenerate drunk, neither of whom could win...well, Miles starts to looked at a little bit more fondly.

And therein lies the lesson. Even for elite programs, it's not quite as easy as snapping your fingers and having some top guy stroll right in and start racking up titles.

It'll be known for an unlikely national championship season and blown opportunities if things don't turn around soon.

Anyone with half a brain will remember it as the greatest in the history of LSU.

Sorry guys. We don't have the history that people tend to manufacture. For 100 years, we are a 4 loss average team. That is our mean. The Miles era is much better than our mean. Over time, we will regress back to the mean.

That he had a great career, but in the end, he was just Saban's bitch.

Clock mgmt debacles, most notable being Tenn.
And of course the national championship game meltdown.
Almost forgot the jj/Lee controversy
