How will NIL impact LSU?

On the one hand I worry we’ll lose players to schools in bigger markets/more affluent parts of the country because of endorsement opportunities. On the other hand I wonder if there will be more opportunities for college athletes here because it’s the biggest game in town whereas college sports is less big in those bigger markets.

I think the age of social media levels the playing field when it comes to that big vs small market stuff, that’ll be where the bulk of the NIL income comes from as influencers anyway

Most of the money is going to come from social media which it doesn’t matter what size market you are in. Some of the most popular athletes on Instagram/tik tok are LSU athletes.

I believe the two most followed college athletes are Shareef O’Neil and Olivia Dunn. Both belong to LSU.
