How will Chris Garret Get in the Spring Game

Granted that Chris Garret is 3rd on the LSU depth Chart at quarterback…I’m interested to see him play this Saturday in the spring game…
I remember a couple of months ago reading an article where Miles said that Garret had taken full advantage red-shirting last year…and that the Garret would puss Jefferson for pt
However, Garret has not seen any action in the scrimmages so far this spring….so is Miles just full of BS or is Garret truly as good as advertised?
Till Saturday!

I wanna see Chris Garrett myself. He may be the best passer on the team.

Jordan Jefferson will pilot the White team with Jarrett Lee set to play for both squads. Freshman Chris Garrett is also listed on the Purple team.

So who are they calling a puss? Garret or Jefferson?
I'm sorry I couldn't resist! It's been one of those days.

Up to date information --->

Miles said Lee has improved tremendously this spring. And in some situations, Lee has outplayed Jefferson.
“He comes to the field and wants to compete,” Miles said. “We had designs that somebody would go by him, but he isn’t allowing it. It’s nice to have another guy like that back there."

Lee should get some kind of character award, however, I dont want to see him pee in his pants while passing in the flat against a ripping pass rush.
He better be over that INT thing.

hope so...he seems to have put a ton of time in working on it. Lee and JJ have been victim to pathetic playcalling, the play against Georgia, the 3rd and long against Bama, were both plays that shouldn't have been called...much like the pass that JJ took a sack on in the Ole Miss game.

I think the last thought that goes through Crowton's head before calling a play is "hmmm, maybe this one will work"

you might be right like that bull shite arse screen we threw to ridley on 2nd down that lost like 5 yards

I am not interested in all at seeing him play.
Chris Garrett will not see the field next year unless Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee get hurt.
I am more interested in seeing Lee and Jefferson.

I haven't seen any reporter that has seen the team practice talk about how good Garrett is. The only people overly praising him are rantards who have never seen him play.

saw him play in the spring game last year and liked the potential...I would say his basic skillset is the best of the 3, but I like the fact that he doesn't have to be thrown in the fire too soon like the others.

Pretty sure Miles never said that. Like 100000% sure.

The other hole in the "man I've seen reports/articles that Garrett looks awesome" is that the media only sees 15-20 minutes of drills. That's it. There are VERY FEW people that get to watch practice in its entirety and I doubt those people come to the Rant to post their findings.

Miles will say good things about Garrett to build his confidence for the future.
But we have Jefferson and Lee are our two quarterbacks who will play.
Garrett may be the future quarterback and the coach will continue to praise him for confidence reasons.

I'm glad BG is here to simplify some of the useless junk out of the GC playbook. I definitely believe we'll see less bone headed play calls from last year. As long as JJ stays focused and determined and the OL takes oath to not give up an inch, everything else will fall into place
