How was that fair/foul mess any different than inadvertent whistle in football

Agreed, it was a bad call, but that shouldn't be reviewable. No way an umpire can determine what would have happened.

isnt inadvertent whistle reviewable now and can result in a touchdown if the players continued to play?

I don't like replay for baseball. Just let the game continue. Kills the flow of the game which is huge in baseball.

I'm just saying on an inadvertent whistle the play is stopped.....the umpire ruled it foul, how can he determine if the runner would have made it to second. I just find the awarding of second base arbitrary. If anything, give the guy first.
