General admission is cheap as hell. Plus they aren't free, we pay for it in tuition.
Just because they are "free" also doesn't mean every student should drop everything to go to every basketball game. I've gone to most of them but can never make a Wednesday night game because of a night class. Does that make me a bad student not going just because it is free?

I dont understand why people get bent out of shape over students not showing up. The ones that care about LSU basketball show up, and the ones that don't care just don't show up. If the people who don't care show up they are just bodies in the seats and won't actually cheer for the tigers anyway. Getting students to care is the issue

Exactly. We have put out a terrible excuse of a team for the first 3 years of me being a student. It's going to take more than just one year for all to realize that we currently have a team worth watching.

I agree also. I go to every game I can but I also totally understand why so many don't go. I personally don't care that much about basketball but any team that has LSU across its chest I am going to cheer for and support.

I went to 10 of 12 football games. They all happen on saturday which makes them easier to attend, I gave up a lot of hunting to go to football games and I rescheduled 2 drill weekends and had to miss class twice on mondays because of it......all to see Les' offense look pitiful for the 5th year in a row. I'm not going to all the basketball games, maybe in 2006 I would have went to 80% but I'm not going to a game midweek when I have studying, homework, or a test on the next day. And I really don't care who gives a shite.
And I didn't go today because for the past 3 weekends I have been waiting for good enough weather to take the kayak out and I drill next weekend, so I went effing fishing/camping.
I'm sitting on the Atchafalaya Levee drinking beer and there is no light to be seen other than my computer screen and no sound other than the wind.

That's been the story of the last 15 years of LSU basketball. Every time the team looks like it's starting to be decent and there's a big home game and the crowd finally shows up to support them, they play like shite and get blown out.
