Completely unreasonable and will not happen. And I believe he's the best player in college football.

5.0 ypc for 22 carries and 3 carries of at least 25 yards average. Fairly reasonable,

He's an amazing back, but I wouldn't call this expectation "reasonable".

Ok, so allow me to revisit my previous post. OMG averaged 7.8 YPC for his CAREER

LINK

It's probably doable for Fournette.

Half of the defences Reggie Bush faced at USC were laughable. Bush would not have had 8 ypc in the sec.

Reggie Bush had the benefit of getting carries after 235 lb Lendale White pounded away at the defense over and over. They'd get acclimated to White's size, style and speed, then Bush would come in and look like he was running 100 mph.

It's kind of like a pitcher pounding away with the fastball the first time through the lineup, then showing the changeup after the batters had gotten used to seeing the FB.

It's not uncommon for change-of-pace backs to have higher YPC than the workhorse, even if they end up with the same amount of carries when all's said and done. It's harder to run the ball early against a fresh defense. Just look at how Guice had higher YPC last year than LF7. Not to take anything away from Guice, but he had the benefit of LF7 wearing them out before he got his carries most of the time.

That said, if our passing game starts to click it wouldn't shock me if LF averaged over 7 YPC.
