Spanning the SEC West's dominance in CFB over the last few years. Call me a homer, but how LSU isn't included in this article is laughable.

Wow. That actually is pretty pathetic. What exactly is it that Texas A&M has done?

Not to be one of "those" guys, but Nick Saban. Turning LSU into a national contender and how he did it (with $$$) made everyone else take notice. We started this.
Oh yeah TAMU hasn't done shite to be in this article. Couple 9-3 seasons isn't all that impressive.

They somehow manage to get themselves overrated each year before tunbling back down to where they're more suited.

I don't think we were left off. The article seems to be about the ascendence of powers that weren't traditionally factors (the addition of A&M and the apparent rise of the Miss schools) and the probable emergence of Auburn as a perrenial power (they've been pretty hit or miss over the past several years).
Bama's kind of status quo, and so are we (though now a notch below Bama in a sense).

bullshite, if i remember correctly... no one in the SEC has a better non-conference record than LSU over the past so-many years.

Yea ESPiN, like the SECW just became dominant this year.
Good thing MSU and UM are overachieving or the division would suck.

Hiring Saban after Dinardo /thread

This article is so laughable it isn't even funny. It's a chain of events really:
1) Saban to LSU and subsequent rebuild
2) Tuberville to Auburn and subsequent rebuild
3) Miles to LSU after Saban churning out season after season of solid performances
4) Meyer to Florida after Zook causing west coaches to recruit in an arms race
5) Texas continued struggles post-VY opened up more recruiting
6) Saban to Alabama building a 3rd superpower in the west
7) Petrino to Arkansas forcing Mississippi State and Ole Miss to up their game
8) Chizik to Auburn and a $200k check to Cam Newton's favorite charity
9) Collapse of Florida and the B1G opening up more recruiting
10) Malzahn is gifted a spot in the SEC championship game on Saban's players quitting on the last play of the game. Malzahn is also gifted a SEC championship win against the weakest east opponent in known history.
Sure, sumlin has a cool offense and all.......you know, like when they aren't playing against a good defense.
A&M has done nothing to deserve being on this list. As for State and Ole Miss; one good year does not a dynasty make. As for Auburn, one and aa half good years is also not the definition of a dynasty.

Glad I read your post before clicking the link. Any story about SEC West dominance that doesn't even mention LSU is obviously garbage.

why is A&M in that article, they've done nothing. We have one "down" year, and ESPN loves to think we haven't done anything in the past few years.

LSU's recruiting is briefly mentioned. The article isn't a swipe at LSU. It's just talking about the changes that took this division from a two-three man show (LSU, Bama, Auburn) to a 5-6 man show (Landmass, A&M).

Mississippi State has been good for one year. And they're all up and arms about it. Mullen isn't gonna be there at the end of the year anyways. Gainesville bound.

Its actually not too hard to understand. The 2011 NC debacle didn't just turn off the fans but also the national sports media.
Everyone took note of that 21-0 beatdown and since then LSU has never got the respect it deserves. Blame it on whoever but it will take another NC to gain that respect back.
