Hate it for him. That's how it goes sometimes for pitchers in a short series. Eades is a great kid and wishing him great success in the future.

Probably feels shitty but he was too inconsistent to rely on. Foster is probably pissed he rode the bench when we couldn't buy a hit and he is sitting there around .350 watching others look like little leaguers.

The reason I'm no saying this more because its pretty obvious to say now, but I thought Eades should have gotten the nod. Glenn hasn't pitched in 27 days and the rust showed tremendously. Unfortunately that gamble didn't pay off. To me, you play to win the game that's next. Think we outthought ourselves there trying to save him.

The logic behind starting Glenn was not to "save" Eades for game 3. Glenn simply gave us the best chance to beat UNC. It's really that simple. Eades has not lived up to his hype his entire career at LSU. I wish him the best of luck at the next level, but he was an inconsistent pitcher who showed flashes of brilliance. He has the stuff, it just wasn't there mentally.

Nobody was saving anything. That's why Cotton came in so early. Glenn gave us the best chance to win. Easy decisions by Mainieri there, yet you baseball experts question and criticize every single move he makes.

he wasnt sharp, but he wasnt terrible. i can make more of an argument for starting Bonvillain or even Cotton instead of eades. wasn't it like 80% of unc's loses came to lhp? thats an obvious choice to start a lefty. you cant convince me that you had enough faith in Eades to pitch that game and think it would have been a better result. nothing against the kid, but he hasnt been very good down the stretch. but again, to blame the starting pitching choice for yesterday is pretty dumb. pitching kept us in the game and gave us our only chance to win.

Because they think they would do better. Also think they could hit better. The dumbasses saying Glenn shouldn't have pitched were the same ones calling Glenn the number 2 pitcher ahead of Eades for the last 3-4 weeks.
