Top notch recruiting classes the last three years and a below average product on the field.
Maybe we retain a good bit if O turns it around.

Most coaches will recruit against our uncertainty...If we stay in touch with recruits, most will wait and see. No offensive player was committed to LSU for our production

We've HAD great recruiting classes. We need a new HC who can develop them into elite college players and then USE them. This gives Coach O time to calm them all down as the competition will now open back up but Coach O has gone through this before at USCw & will be motivated to get the job full time at the end of the year.

Yes recruits knowing now gives them enough time not to panic and have to change their commitment in january because of late uncertainty during the january recruiting period.
