Yes, there are two differences this year. All the big commitments, other than Rasco, committed very early and remained committed through the entire process, Jeremy Hill's little decommitment/recommitment notwithstanding. Also, this was the first year since Les' first year with the program that we had some significant limitations on our numbers. I think the thought was let's get through this numbers crunch and not fill this year's class up to the brim.

Yeah but not really a sleeper. If he gets Clowney, then Miles gets the big prize.

A sleeper compared to the rest of the class I guess. . . His display made it seem like more of a sleeper than an "LSU LOCK"

yeah but it was only recently he turned towards LSU

Better part of the football season he seemed like a lock to go out of state

I think some of you people are confusing "sleeper" with "surprise"

Tyrann Mathieu and Morris Claiborne were sleepers. Sam Montgomery was a surprise.

And again this has nothing to do with him being a sleeper which is exactly the point of the post that you're responding to.

Rasco wasn't a sleeper. How is an in-state player when LSU is the only major college football university in the state a sleeper. Rasco is a huge pick up and needed, but not a sleeper. We should get him.

Rasco was considered a Texas lean for months, only very recently showing signs of hedging toward the Tigers. The persistance of the LSU recruiting staff should be commended once again.

Should? Nope

He was kind of a surprise really. He could have went anywhere. I think things fell our way with his recruitment, and things changing at Texas.

Sorry he wrapped up a top 10 class before signing day and had no defections. He must really suck.
