How many weeks has it been since the mills injury?

7 weeks? Seems like the injury is worst than we thought.

Thought I heard mills was back to practice but not 100%

My question is, when he does come back 100% healthy, does he immediately start at FS? With the way Rickey Jefferson has been playing, I think he needs to be on the field as much as possible.

That's good but mills plays safety mostly

Mills was the starter for a reason. Preseason AA and projected as #1 safety in next years draft.
He'll be the starter he if shows he hasn't lost a step in practice

I'm assuming we don't start him until he gets some time to warmup. It would be good to get him back week 5 or 6

Good point. Either way our secondary will be a force whether it be Jefferson or Mills at FS. I just think we need Jefferson somewhere on the field. He's been flying around making plays and is a sure tackler.

They'll both get plenty of PT, he and Jefferson.
I think Jefferson can play a box type safety with Adams and Mills playing more traditional roles. You see more teams going with a 3 safety look as teams continue to field spread type offenses.
Here's the way to look at it: Would you rather our third best corner, third best linebacker, or Mills / Jefferson on the field?
