Don't care if he has 0 sacks. His job will be to eat up blockers.

One. Someone will pressure the QB and force him to scramble into Valentine. Other than that, none. He'll also have almost zero tackles. I bet he has less tackles than anyone else in the two deep on the line.

But he'll be one of our most important and valuable defensive players. Big ugly nose guards just don't record stats.

uh, you do realize that nose guards don't get many sacks. Their job is to take up space and clog the middle. That's why they're typically huge guys.

I'm thinking probably 4. He's gonna be double teamed a lot.

Terrance Cody had .5 sacks in two years at bama. No valentine is not getting anywhere close to 15

Don't really need him to be a sack machine. We need him to demand double teams and be a space eater so Beckwith and the other linebackers can stay clean and make tackles at the line of scrimmage or in the back field.

What would be great is if he could average around 4-5 tackles for loss/per game! Heck ....I would be happy with 3/game.

I am almost certain Valentine will be a good to great nose tackle but people are going to look at his stats at the end of the year and say he wasn't worth the trouble because the stats won't show what he meant to this team.

I'm about as excited as anyone with TV coming on board. But he could be the best nose of the last 10 years and still only have 3-5 sacks.

I hope your joking/trolling.

Does Suggs still own the sack record?

If so, that number plus 1
