I'll be satisfied with a 9-3 record as long as we looked competitive. What I really want to see is improved QB play and competent offense.

Our depth is BS in the front 7 and will have to replace the DC, DL, and LB coach in back to back years so I have zero expectations on defense.

We are loaded on offense and the OL should have 3 guys return so I expect to see improvement from there with a QB guru head coach.

ETA:
If we get Jimbo I expect 10-2 off the bat.

My question is...if the new coach wins a championship next year, Miles get all the credit, right?

I mean...it would be with Miles players

He could go 3-5-3 in consecutive years and that would be status quo.

Not to mention how three straight blowouts and the inevitable questions about the future have derailed recruiting.
Not to mention how this years recruiting class which is losing commitments daily was supposed to help make up for the relative dearth of talent at critical positions currently on the roster.
Which adds up to the new coach walking into a worse situation than Miles inherited. By far.

Yeah the same players Miles couldn't coach up to being within shouting distance of Arkansas and Ole Miss after being defenestrated again by Alabama.
So that would be quite an indictment of Miles actually.

It means he won with Miles players just like Miles won with Saban's, Saban won with Shula's, and Meyer won with Zook's.
