Weak arm displayed in arky game

He's no Jamarcus, but I'd be hesitant to call his arm "weak". Oh, and do you remember someone named Matt Mauck? Probably not, huh?

So you don't think him basically regressing after prepping for the bowl for a month is cause for concern?

And we should absolutely not account for the fact that he played in the two minute against Arkansas and played in a power run offense all day today.

it was his first start as a true freshman against a good defense. He has plenty of time to improve.

You've bounced back & forth between a few threads absolutely bashing Jennings. And all of the sudden you act all astonished at what you consider a knee-jerk reaction?

Goddamn.

If you don't have concerns going forward you are fooling yourself. AJ may not be the answer. This could be why Les said the competition would be wide open this spring. I am not bashing AJ.

I'm looking forward to a competition. While I believe he can get much better, I don't think he's cemented himself as the qb of the future by any means.

There is a reasonable middle ground. AJ is not the best. AJ is not the worst. We'll have to wait & see.

Mauck didn't have the best arm, but he was a true game manager. with the type of defense LSU has, that's what we need.

No way to judge his potential on just a few series. I'm sure he will improve. Hell I hope the other young QB's push him for the starters spot for next yr. if it's wide open ,we may see a real leader come out of the pack. Be it this boy or one of he others.
