D1. Check
Professional check
Coached check
Scouted check

I assume the question arises due to the poor offense and comments surrounding people being frustrated. I was talking to a college coach yesterday and I was telling him how much I hated the bats and he was telling me how much he loved them as it equalized his ability to competed against the premier programs. This is obviously old news and in my opinion why don't we have everyone play whiffle ball to give all a chance and reward mediocre talent and play. It is like putting PGA players on the gooney golf tour. Heck I may have a chance to win an event

No college ball - some high school - I was a very sought after softball stud! In all seriousness though, LSU has the pitching and defense. If they could ever get some offense to go with parts I & II then maybe we could make a run deep into the CWS!!!

Unfortunately, I just don't see that happening this year. CPM's small ball philosophy looks even smaller in '14. At this point we may not even qualify for the SEC Tourney!!!!

My last year of organized baseball was in the 11th grade, but I can still see that this LSU team has a hitting issue.

Do I still pull for them to win every game? Yes
Do I hope they turn it around? Yes
Do I think they will make a run in the playoffs? Yes

But as of this season so far, they have a hitting issue.

Agreed , I have played college and pro . It's funny to hear so many people acting like experts . There is a long way to go .

I'm betting there is a lot of truth in this thread.... Someone probably played in a softball league and counting that as "pro" ball

Yeah but he's got some cool stories on the golf course. And apparently he's got the required credentials to complain, and we do not.

In addition to the OP's point:

- if we never owned a restaurant and/or cooked professionally, we should never criticize the food or service at one

- if we've never written, directed, and produced a movie and/or acted in one, we should never critique a film

- if we've never played in a professionally touring musical act, we should never criticize or give our opinion on any band

- if we've never been a civil engineer or city planner, we should never complain about traffic

- and finally the big one, if we've never been president of the US or served in Congress, we should not say one thing about the current administration or engage in political debate

Because afterall, it is absolutely crucial that we have done what we all have an opinion on.

OP probably never played ball above high school, just like many of the people saying they did. Hell everything is anonymous anyway so let's all say we played.
