Byrd doesn't seem to be as big a part of the O has I though he'd be, but it could be b/c his is hurt and it's def. is b/c of our young QB. If Lee progresses and he heals he has potential.

I think Ciron and Herm have a good shot. It's too early to tell with our D-line. they have potential but will have to have a good season.

No way LaFell leaves early right? He IS having a pretty good year so far.

I dont see Lafell or RJF leaving early

I think Black may come back too, may depend on what Andre Smith does.

LaFell is the best WR on the team. If he keeps up his numbers I could easily seeing him be a first rounder at the end of the year.

Byrd is good, but he isn't as well rounded as Lafell is. He is money as a downfield threat.

I don't think he'll have the numbers to make it in this year, but with a good QB. Like JR he could very well be worth one.

He also could go crazy at the combine and convince people he's worth a first rounder.

LaFell is not a 1st rounder...YET. He's great this year, but last year he couldn't even spell NFL. IMO he needs to continue to prove that he is better than last year and with that I expect him to stay another year. Keep in mind no WRs were taken in the 1st round last year. 6 the year before and only 1 was taken 2 years ago.

In one year he went from being the #4 WR on the team to the #1 receiver. He had his problems, but if you notice he fixed those by the end of the year.

He had a lot of unexpected pressure on him last year.

Because last year's crop of WRs sucked.

Good crop and bad bad crop outside of Holmes.

He'll be climbing on people's boards, but he's coming out of obscurity so he needs to keep this up.

A 1st day pick should be a lock unless he gets seriously injured or implodes and doesn't run well at all for the rest of the year.

We're going to have a sick senior class next year if all are jr.s stay.

Black
Scott
Lafell
RJF
Alexander (isn't he requesting another year?)

All players with first round potential

I don't think RJF and Black will leave.

LaFell might, but I think it would be better for him to stay and play next year with a QB who can really light it up with him.

Black if he comes out likely first day but he might make more money by coming back
H Johnson first day
Helms second day
Byrd first day (combine is huge for receivers and a solid time will be key)
Scott if he comes out first day (again time will be huge and not playing in Senior Bowl could hurt)
Q Johnson second day - pretty good since he was not even on the radar prior to season
Jackson first day
Pittman second day
Beckwith second day due to injuries
Taylor probably free agent
Jean Francois - again that injury could have an impact if its nagging throughout the year - could hurt his stock a little but likely first day

the more i think about it the more i think Black comes back for one more year

Right now this is how I see the left tackles being drafted:

1. Michael Oher (Ole Miss)
2. Andre Smith (Bama)
3. Eugene Monroe (Virginia)
4. Alex Boone (Ohio St.)
5. Ciron Black

there is a HUGE drop off in pay between being the 1st and 5th OT taken in the draft, if he comes back he could potentially be a top 5 pick in 2010.
