This is probably about to send everyone off the deep end but don't care cause I'm bored at work.

LSU CAN win the SEC West. Likely? No but we can dream can't we??

Obviously LSU had to win out, tall order all by itself.

-Auburn beats Ole Miss
-Georgia beats Auburn
-Bama beats Moo State
-Bama beats Auburn
-Ole Miss beats Moo State

LSU, Moo State, Bama and Ole Miss would all have 2 losses. The first tie beaker would be head to head amongst tied teams.

LSU 2-1
Ole Miss 2-1
Bama 1-2
Moo State 1-2

That eliminates Bama and Moo State leave LSU and Ole Miss tied.
LSU beat Ole Miss head to head. LSU wins the west

Let the bashing ensue

We could also have Ole Miss beat Auburn, as long as Ole Miss loses at Arkansas as well.

Yeah, but I want the ultimate lose-lose to occur for Ole Miss fans that final weekend against Mississippi State.

Win: LSU goes to Atlanta
Lose: State goes to Atlanta

The funny thing is, of all teams, we don't need Bama to lose any more (outside of our game, of course). In fact, the scenario in the OP will require help from both Bama and Ole Miss. It'll be interesting to see the Rant's loyalties in these games.

Im pulling for the way the OP explained it to happen. I have those games circled as the games for us to get to Atlanta. So frick everything else, By and means Necessary!!!

I'm glad you posted this. I was thinking State would have to lose 3. That scenario isn't that far fetched, actually.

Same here. I want to win the SEC. If that means changing my usual loyalties, so be it.

While unlikely, this is a definite scenario for us. We discussed it this morning.

I think it is the most likely of the scenarios that would give us the West.

Yea I was thinking the same thing all day and I realized what about tie breakers. So it's at least refreshing to know we don't need 3 losses from them

Since we have a bye week, first game up in this scenario is Auburn at Ole Miss on Saturday. We'd still technically be alive if either team won, but our chances are better if Auburn wins. Also MSU hosts Arkansas, so hoping for an upset there.

According to ESPN's FPI projector, Auburn beating Ole Miss would be the only "upset" on this list.

Interesting theory but the Bama win over MSU I just don't see.

Anyway, the stars certainly have to align but stranger things have happened.

Moo State is at Bama. Bama hasn't been a dog since the 2009 SECCG counting them out , especially at home on any game is nuts
