I agree with you. He's a terrific person and I miss having him around to read about his adventures.

Yeah, saw him on TV. Looked like he was enjoying himself. I'm FB friends with him but he never posts anything.

My dad talked to him for 2 or 3 hours about 2 month ago and have continued talking ever since. He is a really good man and representative of LSU and this state

Thankfully he seems to be doing great. One of my favorite Tigers. I was a student in 1981 and went to Philly for the final four. I was also at the 1986 final four in Dallas. I remember being at the team's hotel the night after the game. My wife and I were walking to our car to go to dinner at a steakhouse. I naturally was all bummed out because we had lost. Suddenly on the sidewalk in front of the hotel appeared Dale Brown. I shook his hand and said "Coach, it sure was a fun ride while it lasted". He had a big smile on his face and replied "Don't worry, we are going to be back next year and it will be in the Superdome". That made my night and I was able to go to dinner in a much better mood. And he was almost right. He is aptly called the master motivator.

Do tall think he feels bad about the horrible sanctions he left LSU with upon
His retirement?

I think he passed away 5 years ago. But I often see him at the game.

No, to my knowledge he's never take any responsibility for any part of it and therefore would say he has nothing to feel bad about.

And a lot of folks on here would agree with that sentiment. I'm not one of them.

It did, as well as the general state of the program in all aspects when he left.

Dude's teams gave me some great memories. He was the first basketball coach at LSU I ever knew and the only one for 25 years. I'll tip my hat for that and that he does a lot of good things for a lot of people off the court and always has.

His bag man is now our head coach so we're in good shape.

Considering it was Johnny Jones who got LSU in trouble and Brown took the fall for it, I would say he probably feels the same about it as Jones does.
