How is basketball not ranked?

Finished second last year in SEC, was 21-10 overall and returned 3 key players along with top 10 recruiting class and transfers. Guess voters just don’t like Wade

media poll rankings are irrelevant. It all about the Selection Committee.

Also in bball getting ranked is kinda harder than football. There are 126 or so fbs football programs but like 350 div 1 basketball programs

Dickie V has shite all over this program which IMO has pollsters not placing as high of a value on us as we deserve.

Pettiness from the coaches and media to "penalize" LSU.
Case in point. Tennessee is ranked 12. Why? The return 4 starters and added a top 10 recruiting class.
LSU returns three BETTER players than UT...also has a top 10 recruiting class and added a transfer who was a top 10 defender and rebounder in the Big East. Plus Wade has won two straight over UT.
No pettiness, right?

LSU might have postseason ban in football and probably in basketball with Wade out at end of yr for cause..so it doesnt matter

That definitely is a premature post to say the least. A post- season basketball ban with Wade out, I wouldn't predict that. Of course, time will tell.
But I would be much more concerned with LSU's rating in March, than what it is at this very early stage of college roundball.

LSU has the most votes of any unranked team, so I guess they are 26th

I still dont know why that would have anything to do with polls. You may be totally right. Just seems crazy that anything besides talent, coaching, quality of play, and quality wins would have any impact ranking. One old guy who has dick skin for a face is biased as all hell in his judgment of LSU. Shouldn’t matter at all.

We were an 8 seed last year and lost our best player. We also don’t have a senior in our starting lineup. Pretty self explanatory
