How does Manieri still have a job at LSU?

If Miles will be ran off due to underachieving how does Manieri still have a job at LSU given the resources he has compared to other baseball programs?

Mainieri has won two SEC titles and finished in the top 8 of the country twice since Miles last did.

Yeah, I thought it is a legit question. Not sure why he's given a pass and Miles doesn't. Other than obviously a lot more people give a shite about football than baseball.

Football is the moneymaker here. Even though LSU baseball has a huge following, it's nothing compared to football.

At least Mainieri gets to the CWS. Being one of the final eight teams in a sport where schools the size of stony brook can legitimately often compete with schools from power 5 conferences and there are 300 schools that play baseball is why Mainieri gets a pass.

He doesn't get a pass. The talent gap is still bigger than almost any other sport. Can teams get hot? Sure. But if you watch the games, PM struggles when it comes to in game decisions. The simple ones too. When to bunt. When to not throw your worst pitcher. When not to start a relief guy. When to bench players who are 1-25 in the post season.

The real reason is LSURussian's blow jobs keep Mainieri energized and motivated. Mainieri doesn't suffer from the lack of energy Les is facing.
