How did women's basketball get so bad so fast?

Lost to Tulane tonight and went to overtime with Jackson st. A few days ago. Big drop of from back to back sweet 16 appearances.

Well when you lose your best players and don't recruit any decent ones to replace them.

Nikki has been bad but she's hot so it works

They make bad decisions and turn the ball over a crazy amount.

I don't know how they have so much experience at playing basketball yet make so many awful passes. That 4 minute stretch of LSU with the ball yet only one basket was terrible. And they still probably win if Harden makes those FTs with a minute left that would've put them up 3. Of course she missed both.

Pokey left and the liquor license was revoked.

It's women's basketball idgaf if they are the worst team in the country.

The worst has yet to come sadly. We are about to start playing solid teams. Ballard wont be back till December either

Tulane is a solid 20+ win team. Rutgers and K State are probably the only non-conf. one's left that are better.
I'll say this though if the team that played tonight(no Ballard and bad Moncrief) plays S. Carolina or A&M I'm not sure we score 30.

Offense is a major concern, if it were not for the press we probably have around 30 points. There is zero movement, its difficult to watch. I am hesitant how this team will do on the road. When we actually start playing solid teams, with better talent then Tulane(they are a very solid team) I am not sure how things will hold up for us. Its an issue if we struggle to get out the 40's. I am a huge Caldwell supporter but, even with all the experience they look pretty clueless. We miss lay ups, we don't seem to know how to move a ball on offense. Ball security is as bad as I have seen. Even with Ballard, I don't see us being in the top half the SEC at all. Other players will have to step up. Moncrief seems to be the player where she has no choice to carry the team. Rina Hill is not working, Pedersen is fine if she is open. Bethel is great on the press but gets way out of control. Deemer is just so small. I will try to have hope but it doesn't look good.

Heres the thing that makes women's basketball awful to watch:
When I am at the game, I sit there thinking me and 4 guys from down the street could take these chicks and win...and thats the WNBA
I don't get how you guys can sit there for a college game, much less a bad one like LSU this season

Are we sure? I feel like her being on the bench in warmups is a decent sign in the right direction. Or is her real punishment that she can't go to Puerto Vallarta?

From what I have been led to believe from someone who should know, she has been practicing with the team and "sometime in December" is accurate. That person also indicated that she will travel with the team.
Since she is practicing, then hopefully when she does return, she can jump right into the middle of things and hit the ground running.

So her real punishment is watching the abomination she has wrought upclose.

Yes.
I would hope that it actually does eat away at her that this team would be much better with her on the floor. To me, this team looks like it has a bunch of role players who can only be good if Ballard is on the floor opening things up for them.

Ballard is the only thing that will make this team competitive this year sadly... Like it has been stated multiple times, we have a talent problem. It starts with recruiting, and we are really seeing it this year. Yes I know we have lots of new faces but even the upperclassmen are struggling as well. They look lost. I am afraid once we do lose enough that the team might fall apart. Its critical to do well now, if not then this season ending wont be pleasant.
