In no way was that an either/or situation. If anything Davis was the first player Wade offered as an LSU coach

LSU was late to the party pertaining to Corey. He made a commitment and stuck with it. It wasn't a Corey/Tremont deal, it was Corey or Darryl Edwards deal. Corey stuck to his word with Houston and that's how we ended up with Edwards.

I don't know that he had a LSU offer out of HS either. He had to go the JUCO route and became an All American at San Jacinto. Wade/LSU was too late with an offer to get him. LSU got Waters so it's a moot point I think.

dwariley-His dad was born and raised in Plaquemine, La. Attended Plaquemine High and moved to Houston. Corey Jr. always liked LSU, but had to attend JUCO. He wasn't on LSU radar until Will Wade came along, but by then it was too late. And even still, after Wade offered him, he really did think hard about it, but decided to stick with Houston.
That's when Coach Wade went with Plan B and signed Darryl Edwards.
