We also ran a good bit of gun with 2 guys in the backfield so that would be considered using a "FB" although it was usually Williams.

This is actually a very good question...I've never in my life seen an offense so dependent on one position save the quarterback

So...Not very?

I can't disagree with you more. That fullback has been the key to the offense since Miles arrived, even though he seldom is called on to run the ball.

JD Moore was key to LF success.

Or did the schedule get more difficult and stronger defenses towards the end of the season and the meat of our SEC schedule??

Depends on what play they're running. Not too hard to guess when FB is in.

No it hasn't.
It has been important. But the "key" to Miles offenses have been great RBs and big, mean OL. An elite fullack has certainly been helpful, if not necessary at times. But the "key to the offense" it is not.

Don't forget about losing Gordon last year. Having an extra tackle with a 300 pound tight end definitely helped the run game early last season.
