Yeah because our coach is a class act and your coach is a fricking bitch.

FWIW, from a bammer perspective. Yeah I know.

If Stanford beats OSU, which I think they will, he will look like the smartest coach that didn't buy into the hype.

Stanford has the same dynamic offense but with a defense to boot. And as for the win over OU.. ..OU looked like a bunch of retards trying to f**k a football out there. Layed it on the ground enough.

I truly can't believe that Saban did that. Pretty low rent.

Yep and Les Miles voted honestly. I could see Saban putting them at 3 since that's a valid argument. Behind Stanford is not at all.

He voted who he thought was number 2.

Saban tried to manipulate the system. Not needed, but it is indefensible to rank Stanford number 3 over OSU by their body of work.

Mizzou must have needed Bama's clout to get into the SEC or just have been extremely butthurt leaving the Big12

That's the first thing that caught my eye. Surprised Pinkel would put Okie State at 4.

This has nothing to do with it. Nothing. You can't take revisionist history to justify this ranking and then act like it wasn't entirely in his own self-interest lacking any level of intellectual honesty. The self interest I can understand, but not the intellectual dishonesty. frick that guy.

And if OSU steamrolls? See how that works? As it stands right now, Saban looks like trash for it and I've NEVER been an anti-Saban guy. Fair is LSU, Bama, OSU or LSU, OSU, Bama, the rest. It's pretty damn simple.

Well so did Arkansas when both of our teams played them and look where they're ranked.

I digress. Stanford did lose to Oregon but beat USC. They only have one loss too. You can say it's personal interest all you want, but on the other hand, there's not a good case to jump a great Stanford team except to play into the bias. Great reason to LSU, shitty reason in fairness and sportsmanship.

I understand your defending him because he's Bama's coach, but after last night's arse beating on OU, it's simply either:

1.LSU
2. Bama/OSU
3.Bama/OSU
4. All the rest of the suckers.

OSU earned the number 2 or 3 slot last night and they don't deserve to be slighted.

Um, let's see. Ok St. won their conference. Their conference was far more highly regarded than the Pac 12, which featured a team that had to get a special pass to be able to possibly be allowed to play in a bowl game. Their conference champion was destroyed by LSU. What else do we need?

We what makes you so sure OSU should be #3? Is it their loss to ISU (a 6-6 team) or the win over TA&M (30-29). Maybe it was the 52-45 game over KSU. I really don't think they should be #3. The voters look at the last game when Landry simply gave the OSU offense about 21 pts. I wonder if the dude got paid somehow he played so bad.

Just as I understand you're trashing him for not going with the anti-bama bias.

In truth, other than hatred, and non-rematch bias, there's no real argument to jump a great Stanford team. Had Stanford been the one with the computer support, it would have been THEIR bandwagon the nation jumped on. NOT OSU.

Another fun fact about the poll. The only coach to rank their team worse than what they ended up was Frank Beamer.

Put Va Tech at 13 and they finished at 11. Richt voted Georgia at 18 and that's where they finished. Otherwise, all coaches voted their team better than where they ended up.

I'm not gonna really go searching for the hundreds of threads showing the complete work of OSU and their conference strength, but it's been all over the boards for days. They played in a conference that was statistically stronger than the SEC this year. This is a fact backed up by actual data. They won this conference. Period.

Yeah the dude wanted to possibly end his college career and any possible Heisman hopes by getting stomped for the first time in eight years to their instate and emerging rival. You Bama fans are brilliant folks, let me tell ya.

You've read my posts on the SECrant so don't spew that bullshite here. It has shite all to do with Bama and I'll restate that I have NEVER been an anti-Bama or Saban guy so drop that bullshite.

You're wearing crimson glasses and taking this personally. I'm sorry you can't see the fact that OSU earned at minimum a ranking of number 3.

Coaches have no business voting, should be done by an independent committee.

I agree, but even "independent" members could be purchased or otherwise corrupted.

Hell up until today, I thought the computers were better, but with Sagarin's Secret Sauce formula having LSU drop and Georgia gain points after the game yesterday, I have no idea why this system sucks so bad.
