I didn't think we would have much power or hitting in general because we had to replace a lot but he (in my opinion) came out of no where. Without looking back at any of the games, I feel like whenever we needed a big hit, he always came through for us.

I feel like deichmann came up big later in the season. Had a few big homeruns in the SEC tourney and Regional if I remember correctly.

I've been preaching deichmann for years but half this board full of pussies said "his competition in high school sucked, he's overrated." Ok guy

Very clutch. If he continues to be comfortable hitting the ball hard the opposite way when he's pitched there, he will be one of the more prolific power hitters in the nation. He's got power to all fields and his approach definitely improved as the season went on last year

In those people's defense Deichman was a strike out machine with so so defense until about middle of last year. Mark me as one of the guys who just thought he struck out too much. Glad he fixed it and proved me wrong. He was one of my favorite players to watch by the end of the year.

Funny part is when people got mad when CPM "called him out" last year was when he started to turn it around. Thank goodness he has thicker skin than this board.

Deichman re-tooled his swing last year under Cannizaro's tutelage. Greg even says that the change in his hitting came from 'buying in' to the new swing and pitch philosophy.

He started as an uppercut power hitter and that's why he couldn't adjust to college pitching.

As long as there aren't any lingering mental issues from being tagged in the face, he should be even better this year

Me and my brother were sitting in right feild of Hoover Met during the 7th inning stretch wondering what we were going to do with the rest of our vacation time that we wasted now that our team was going to lose in the first round.....

Deichman saved that trip for me. That ball still hasn't landed. Cleared the Hoover Met fence with ease

VERY productive hitter, with pop...more than we have had in a while IMO. What he showed at Col HR derby was impressive. He missed making 2d rd by 1 HR. Think he is due for BIG season...hope the injury does not derail him.
