How can you people continue to defend the complete lack of fundamentals on this team? It's pathetic.....the buck has to stop somewhere and its jones. Are you folks so blindly loyal because he went to lsu?

Fundamentals lacking. Basketball IQ lacking. Careless with ball. Talent is only part of the equation.

stupid turnovers

It's the reason Stat had as many attempts from the floor and the reason LSU didn't have as many. When they dont protect the ball, they really, REALLY struggle.

This team has no discipline - they do what they want and the coach doesn't tell them anything. Other coaches coach on the sideline - Johnny Jones just stands there.

NOt on CJJ, but clearly Grey didn't have any confidence until the last minute of the game -- a moment where we didn't need his fancy layup and missed FT.

That is on CJJ^

Martin and Quarterman throwing up bricks and getting into foul trouble -- that's on them.

I clearly now recognize that Mickey will end up going out and Martin will be back, if he's intelligent. His game is not NBA ready. Not even close.

Yeah, that one he fumbled right in his hands was a big gaffe. That would have been a layup had he caught it. But....we missed a lot of layups yesterday.

You know, stuff coaches do.

While coaching is important to a degree, player execution wins the game.

Anyone who has coached at any level, understands there can be a big difference between practice coaching and game execution. Mainly cause there are 5, 9, or 11 guys on the other side seeking to disrupt every move, set, or shot taken.

Kentucky is winning cause they throw more talent on the court than most 2 other teams combined.

who coaches these players?

When you keep passing outside and refusing to drive to draw fouls that is coaching. They did that the whole game. Af30 minutes of that kind of play the coach needs to change method of attack.

Q-man was 0 for 6 from the 3 point line. 1 for 10 from the field.

That is ONLY on Q-man.

Team has no bench. Maybe that's on Jones. Reminds me of when a manager starts his best two pitchers on two days rest, when he needs just one more win to clinch, instead of using them with 4 days rest.
He should play the entire team that dresses vs U of Kentucky.
Kentucky will play all their guys in the first 10 minutes.

Then why do they pay coaches $1-4 Million/year?

It's on TQ and Jones. He's an awful 3pt shooter. If Jones isn't going to limit who shoots 3s, then he needs to recruit better shooters or draw up plays to get high percentage shots.

Q has been our MVP this year, and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for being under the weather yesterday.

But his shot selection yesterday was terrible. I don't know if we can blame illness for that.

He's a better outside shooter this year than last, but he's still not very good at that aspect of the game. I think the Georgia game gave him an inflated opinion of his ability in that regard. I think if you look at the games outside Georgia, the sample size is large enough to bare that out.

He and CJJ need to come to some sort of compromise on this, because it's keeping him from doing the things he does well more and more of late.

Why is the guy at A&M football making 5 mil? Why is the guy at Tex. football making 5 mil.? Why is the guy at Michigan making 8.2 mil.?

Cause it's bout WIN, WIN, WIN and some will pay large sums foolishly to even unproven guys in hopes they can recruit the players needed to win.

Having the chance to win big at the college level is all bout recruiting. You can be the greatest X&O guy in the world at the coach level, but without the talent on the court or field you will go only so far.

I suggest JJ will seem to be a much better coach as his players on the court become more and more talented.

I just watched the end of regulation at the Mich. St. game. St. had the ball for the final 24 sec., no T/O was called, and they ended up taking a jumper as time ran out from 25 ft. away. Anyone think that was the play their HC wanted to run???

No, he's been the most-improved player and he has won a couple of games for us. Without Jordan Mickey, we're a.500 team -- overall, not just SEC.

I think he should keep doing what he's been doing. He doesn't have a specific role. He just makes stuff happen when he's in the game. His ability as a tall guard to get the ball in others' hands is awesome. Notice when he's in the game how much better J Martin becomes.

We'll disagree. Mickey's our best and most talented player this year. IMHO Q is the MVP to this point,

As long as that is cutting down on three point shots, I'll agree.

Lack of passion is indicative unless you're Tom Landry.... and he's not. Show some Daddy Dale fire and it will spread.....

Hornsby and Quarterman going 6-27 had a lot to do with it.
