How big of an accomplishment is 7 straight 10 win seasons for CBK?

I know 10 wins isn't what it used to be, but 7 in a row seems like a pretty big deal.

Only 2 other coaches currently have done it. Saban and Dabo.

It shows consistency, but you are right that it's not what it used to be.

If the SEC goes to 9 conference games it will have more meaning.

I think it’s very impressive. I do know that before BK came to LSU many of our fans would say that ND was overrated every year because of their easy schedule though.

The question is, "Will he have Saban consistency, or Les Miles consistency?"

Ok, that wasn’t the question though. Mack Brown won 10 games for 9 straight years while at Texas.

Missouri
A&M
Wisconsin

That’s the list of teams LSU beat this year with winning records that weren’t cupcakes.

Does that look impressive to you?

More games are played now. It's an accomplishment but not a huge deal IMO.

Saban could not have done what he did with the rules the way they are today. He was allowed to get away with basically open NIL when NIL was supposed to be against the rules. They haven’t won a real championship since 2017 (sorry but 2020 doesn’t count. They can claim it if they want but anyone with any real sense would just laugh at that thought).

I was glad when BK was hired because we needed someone who could get us back to 10 win seasons. I was upset that he signed a 10 year contract because I'm not sure if he can get us to a NC.

Hope I'm wrong.

I bet that you would be claiming that title if LSU would have won in 2020.

exactly.

10 wins meant more back when there were 11 game regular seasons, no conference championship games, and far fewer bowls.

Now, with at least 3 cupcake wins, and 40+ bowls, getting to 10 wins doesn’t mean what it used to.

11 wins should replace 10 wins.

And yet not many modern coaches have done it.

Dabo was riding a 12 season streak.
Ended it with 9 wins this season

Saban just did for the 16th time in a row.
13 straight 11 win seasons
