if Miles took another job at the end of the season, and LSU hired Mark Hudspeth?

About as bad as it would be in BR from LSU fans. If he's the best we can do, we're in big trouble.

If Miles left and the best replacement they could hire would be Hudspeth, then this program is really worse off than anyone thought.

who's better? coordinators transitioning to head coaches in college football BLOW. i mean flat out blow.

which is also why it would suck regardless who they hired. so i am happy with miles, i just wish he'd step it up.. especially in game coaching.

You want me to go ahead and anchor this for you?

It does not seem to be going the way I think you thought it would...

I think hudspeth has done an excellent job at UL. Whichever big time school hires him away from Lafayette is going to get a hell of a coach. UL has not done as well as they are doing because of their talent. He certainly has done well in building that program.

Just my opinion

Cuts both ways which is why you never know until the new coach has, well, coached. Saban was decent at Michigan St.; hell, Dinardo beat his arse in a bowl one year.

This is true!

I also remember when we thought that Dinardo was going to be great for us.

Winning the sun belt (which HUD has never done yet btw) and winning New Orleans bowls isn't the accomplishments lsu looks for when searching for a head coach.

Now let him leave and go to southern miss, miss st, or another school and start turning serious heads then we are talking.

DiNardo >> Hudspeth

And I'm not knocking what he's done at ULL or saying he isn't a great coach.

We wouldn't be that lucky. Nobody is dumb enough to pay him more than LSU.
