He’s so bad he ran the exact same shite Pelini did except he didn’t blitz.

Remember that first bomb UCLA connected on? All Chip Kelly did was use motion to determine our defense was in man and had the QB check to a mesh play or run play that had our trash linebackers covering their freak tight end. It was like taking candy from a baby. It was sort of like the Mississippi State game. Matter of fact, it was exactly like that. Then after stretching our defense out horizontally with all the motions, he went to their west coast power game using 2 and 3 TE sets and ran the ball down our fricking throat.

Your cornerbacks and safeties shouldn’t be running back and forth across the formation before the fricking ball is snapped. We should’ve played 2 of our young fast linebackers with a 3 safety look and just bumped the coverage. It’s not fricking rocket science.

It’s pretty amazing UCLA didn’t win by more, which is a testament to just how bad their QB is lol

It’s one thing if we are out schemed on some plays. But to be out schemed/lost that much AND to be manhandled like we were. Bama is going to be so ugly.

Jones is a 5th choice low level bum that should never have been interviewed.

As much as I was complaining about the offensive play calling and lack of creativity, especially in the 2nd half, the Defense was so much worse. The play calling there was even more horrendous, confusion and lack of communication was astounding at the LB position, lack of tackling, etc....
DC was out gamed by Chip, and no doubt Chip is good at his offense with his creativity and setting a defense up for failure. But this was utter disaster against a team that hardly threw the ball and was one dimensional and when they did throw the Def was completely lost.
Kelly made the adjustments, used the run to keep the ball out of LSU hands, burn clock, and to set up the occassional pass. He learned in the 1st qtr that this was the plan. Our DC did nothing in response.

Neither coordinator had a pedigree or resume worthy of being a coordinator at one of the premier college football programs.

Then again, neither does the head coach.

Jones’ call sheet must have been on an index card. You nailed it. It was straight up man. Our guys are better than your guys.

Once Chip realized that was all he was going to get, UCLA started rolling.

What’s weird is Mike Zimmer, who Jones coached under for years, is known as a zone coverage guy.

One thing I didn’t get at all is why wouldn’t you put Mike Jones in to cover their TE. He is the best coverage LB on the team by far.

The lack of in game adjustments was absolutely mind blowing. I've watched high school games that made better adjustments. If that's the competence level of our coaching staff, buckle up fellas because it's going to be a long season.

Well, not defending the DC, but you really don't have any LBs or Safeties that will even attempt to hit someone.

Hard to win that way.

Well we don’t really know.

He did not have a good debut. But I also think it is not completely fair to put it all on him when his boss is Ed Orgeron.

The defense looked marginally better than it did last year in Pelini’s first game, though that really isn’t an accomplishment.

I warned "you people" about Daronte Jones.
An NFL DB Coach is NOT an SEC DC.
Anybody that is NOT 100% delusional with their head buried in the sand knows exactly why he was hired.....

And why is that?

And before you blame his hire on “woke politics” explain then why he was the third or fourth choice rather than the first.

He was hired because better choices turned Ed down
