DL Coach O and DB Coach Raymond???? Is it to our advantage or detriment? I know it was cool with Steele, but is he the exception rather than the rule?

Should be really appealing since they're two of the best at their positions.

Working for a HC that is on borrowed time is not appealing.

Wasn't that the problem the last time? They had to settle for Steele because no one would accept the job with so many strings attached about staff.

Yes, only a 2 year contract with the Les Miles clause in the contract. Alleva and the administration had better get it right.

it's almost always about the $. I wonder what kind of budget they gave Miles to fill the DC role last year (and this year if necessary)?

2 year contract was the problem last year. I'd imagine they'll offer the standard 3 year deal to the right guy this go round

Aside from the clause, they're gonna have problems because of a possible lame duck coach. Who in the hell, with any credibility, is going to come in here with no guarantees that they'll have a job in 2017.

If someone is really good, they will always have a job.

90% of coaches have no guarantee they'll be coaching in 2 years

Joe Alleva's actions or inactions in November, just made this hire more expensive.
