I just figure that bama folks are shitty fans no matter what and enough LSU fans will be on the strip for things not to get to out of hand.

Innisfree Pub is perhaps the best bar off the Strip. Its on Unversity blvd but its between the strip bars and downtown Tuscaloosa. The owner is obviously a bama fan but is big friends with some LSU alums and its usually one of the friendlier LSU bars in ttown.

Its a great bar. I go to one in Birmingham and when I am in tuscaloosa I go to that one. remodeled it and its nice. Not in the cluster frick of the strip but walking distance.

what do you recommend doing that friday night?

The Strip is fine on Friday. Everyone's just having a good time. The Strip during the day on Saturday will be fine. Saturday night is a different story. One fanbase won't be happy. Baton Rouge doesn't have that problem because everyone spreads out after the game. You don't have 20 bars two blocks from the stadium. Everybody's gonna be drunk and ppl are gonna smart off.

About 30 of us will be going without tickets. Tailgating all day then watching the game from the tailgate!

I second the Innisfree comment. Went there two years ago. The Walk On's crew was there. Had a ton of LSU people.
I'll be there this year without a ticket. Looking but doubt I'll find one.
