Jennings has plenty of ability throwing down field. What have you been watching? Most of his bad throws are screens and other short passes. He has the sweetest deep ball of any LSU QB in the last half century. His problem seems to be his inability to find WRs downfield. He throws away a lot of balls and gets sacked more than he should.

Jennings can float a pass out there if Dural is open. His rainbow to Diarse was actually very nice, as well. The problem with his arm is that he cannot put any zip on a pass, which makes throwing over the middle tricky. If you don't make the right read immediately, you can't make those kinds of passes without some zip.

Add this limitation to his slow WR progressions as propensity to lock onto one guy (usually Dural) and the guy ends up with a lot of limitations. And he doesn't show any signs of being able to get past them.

I really think people miss how limited you are with AJ playing QB. There was one instance he dropped back on first down had a perfect pocket and at least 3 seconds to throw. He sat there and never pulled the trigger, this was out of 3 wide set with the back coming out of the backfield. There had to be someone open. The kid will not throw the ball unless the reciever has noone around him.
