Apparently, nrg parking lots will not open until 4 hours prior to kickoff. I'm sure I'm not the only person to think this is blasphemy!! Does anyone who went a couple years ago know where we can set up shop bright and early? Any other ideas?

The pickings are slim. NRG is not really in an easily accessible area and most (if not all) of the nearby lots are for the stadium/businesses that aren't going to let you tailgate.

We went to Big Woodrow's before the Wisconsin game a few years ago. It was a good time.

Check out Little Woodrow's in Midtown; that's the official LSU Houston Alumni tailgate. Free entry and 21+. Big Woodrow's closed several years ago; before the Wisconsin Game. Several bars in Midtown are fun to hang out at or find people's tailgates at nearby hotels.

Christians Tailgate in heights is the official place, but you can go to either spot, there or midtown. And Little Woodrows in midtown is a larger place for bigger crowds..

yeah big woods shut down a few years ago.. they let the wrong crowd in and it went to shite real quick.. was a shame, i went there all the time.. was a great place..

Not anymore, LSU official watch game parties will be Little Woodrow's on Shepherd.

Little Woodrow's has several locations in Houston, the LSU Alumni Preparty will be at the Midtown Location, that location is in walking distance to the Metro Rail

They say that every year and end up opening up the gates at 10 o'clock in the morning

Every time LSU plays in Houston the game is a total sellout, the last thing They want to do is piss off 90% of the revenue stream for the game

Go in two days early Hit up Astroworld. The second day hit up the Astros game at the Astrodome. Then finish it up at the LSY/BYU game. Kids will love it.
