im sure we'll jump them right back and maybe even up to 15 once we dismantle Vandy
There's a good chance of that. The only thing that would possible keep that from happening, is this being a neutral site game so it doesn't count as much as an away game.

pm hates rpi too..

“This is the thing: The RPI takes into account the strength of schedule. So if you’re RPI is 13 or 15, it’s already taken into account. So don’t tell me we’re not going to get a site because of our strength of schedule,” Mainieri said. “If you’re going to say that, then (Louisiana-Lafayette) doesn’t deserve one. Their strength of schedule is (117). Cal Poly’s is (148). Oregon State’s (57).”

This is the part of the interview where he must have blacked out. The rest, he was making good points.

If the end result is Mainieri upgrading the OOC schedule, then send the team to Alaska for a regional this year.

Well the lobbying from PM already needs to stop because you have no argument when you schedule UNO and Grambling for a weekend series.

That was a tough move. He didn't schedule them to start; he had Southern Cal until the new coach backed out.

The last couple of years its been a "wait & see" kinda thing for the regional host site & CPM, as he is doing now, starts "politicking" in the media. The game has changed, along with the bats; no longer can LSU wave a stack of cash in front of the selection committee & buy a regional. Why doesn't the AD & CPM make the adjustments in the schedule so we aren't playing the RPI/SOS game & hoping & praying the numbers hold up? Man up & get involved in some sort of tournament like the old Winn Dixie Showdown &/or schedule a big time weekend series or two before SEC play. What's wrong with taking an early season road trip? If LSU would take care of some early season scheduling weakness issues, we wouldn't be watching what everybody else is doing at the end of the season.

We haven't been in danger of not hosting the past two years.

USC backed out and Purdue was awful but they were a regional host when PM put them on the schedule.
