There are a bunch of she-clowns at work who think Hammond America is the center of the Universe and SELU is the heart....

I've lived in Hammond most of my life. I went to SELU. I've never met any one that thinks along the lines you describe.

Paul finally figured out that he can stack LSU's regional with overrated little brothers by giving them RPI boosts via midweek wins gifted by LSU.

While I agree, the recent success of the SLU baseball program is notable.

Huh? Haven't met any of those. Their baseball program is good.

4 hits won't be enough mid-week.
UGA is throwing their ace tomorrow.

If they can score 5 runs for every 4 hits they get I'll take it. I'd much rather a game like this than one where they score 1 run on 10 hits.

I would've liked more hits tonight but I'm glad they were patient and didn't swing at bad pitches. Someone needs to step up at catcher offensively. Coomes might be the answer eventually.

I follow SELU baseball. They have a good team occasionally. Matt Riser currently has the team at a high point. No reasonable person expects them to win a regional or seriously compete with LSU in the long run. Getting to a regional ( maybe winning a game or two) and winning a mid week game against LSU is reasonable.
Sadly in the next year or so Riser will find greener pastures.

I hope we beat UGA tomorrow as they are using their best starter tomorrow and we are using our freshman starter.

So sad. Ever try a hobby? Checkers, tennis? Stamp collecting?

Anything, even volunteering for a good cause can help in your search

For a life!

Hammond is beautiful. SELU is a terrific and scenic (Lively, united) campus.

They present no threat to LSU.

Grow the frick up!

I'm happy it didn't work out, but Tulane has to be kicking themselves for not hiring him.

I hope we do, too, but they are good and we haven't played well in midweek games against in-state opponents. If I had to guess, I'd be hard pressed to pick the winner. I'll guess LSU, but it's really just a coin flip.

I actually know a few. That whole "Hammond America" thing doesn't help matters also.

There are a ton of us on here from the area, we should arrange a gathering one day. I bet a lot of us know each other in everyday life.
