Which call against LSU should not have been called? Put aside they missed Cuse penalties, which ones called against us were bad calls?

The Unsportsmanlike late hit penalty out of bounds on Debo Jones. Player was clearly in bounds. Terrible call.

/Here responses evade the question and talk about equal attention of the rules to both teams, SEC conspiracies and insults about the eyes or other physical characteristics of the officials.
Some adults may respond, as well.

It was clearly a late hit...a stupid play.

The only call I thought was bad was the hold against Pocic.

What was really bad about the officiating was that they seemed to only see penalties committed by LSU. I sam many holds, blocks in the back, etc committed by Cuse that were obvious but not called.

One of the holdings on center for sure. HOWEVER, I have never seen anything like the bad calls that went against Arkansas yesterday so not complaining so much.

I would love to see a breakdown of penalities we average without Ritter vs with Ritter.

I would also like to see Ritter and his crew average penalties vs other crews average penalties.

The PI when SU receiver fell down. The Holding on Pocic. The false start on receiver. Obviously the not late hit.

Pass interference was kinda bullshite but ok. The late hit was ridiculous. The helmetless defender penalty was absolutely the correct call but still sucks bc it's such a severe penalty.
Altogether it wasn't the worst officiated game I've seen and I wasn't even thinking of the refs until I came to the Rant and realized there was an obvious conspiracy right in front of my eyes that I didn't see.

2006 Auburn is the benchmark for crooked officiating. Those refs were so blatantly one-sided the only logical conclusion is they were on the take. I absolutely believe that.

I think the PI was a fair call. The illegal formation on receivers should not have happened, but our guys f'ed that up and it was the least significant guy in the play too.

You apparently didn't see the pic that was posted yesterday of the hit taking place a yard inbounds. Also a late hit on BH that could've very well hurt him.

Why, because the player was going out of bounds or because he was already out of bounds?

It appeared to me he was still in field of play.

I thought both DPIs were a little harsh as neither ball was really catchable. But was more okay with the second flag than the first.
On the other side, i thought they had an OPI that was a little ticky tacky as well.

The hold on pocic was kind of a weak call.

When watching, i felt that Syracuse did a lot of standing over players after the tackle, but that couldve just been my perspective.

It is hard to put aside, as an LSU fan, one's inherent loathing of Tom Ritter. The man has been involved in several games w/ highly questionable calls against the Tigers ... usually in the State of Alabama.

I have watched a good number of college games this season and it seems to me the refs, in general, are more flag-happy than usual. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yesterday, I thought the PI call on Toliver was BS. Both he and the receiver were pushing, pulling each other, leveraging for position. I also thought the offensive PI call on a Syracuse WR was ticky-tack.

I saw two plays were LSU players were clearly hit out of bounds. No call. Then Debo hits their QB, WHILE STILL IN BOUNDS, and gets a flag.

???

My head tells me there is no "conspiracy," that Ritter does not have a bias against LSU. My heart and irrational emotion tell me something else.

Yep, 2 years in a row Arky blew it, but the refs really hurt them on this occasion.
