UK handed him his first loss last year so he's going to come out spinning it tomorrow!

We are pitching and playing the SEC tourney the same way we would Omaha. CJJ has been working the pitchers up for short rest for 5-6 weeks.

You throw Luke game 2 no question.

Nah. Throw Hurd tomorrow. Nothing to gain or lose by tomorrows outing and hopefully postseason play can put some led in his pencil

That would be dumb and contrary to how we handled it last year

Jump didn't throw 100 pitches on thurs as the weather chased him
Holman had a longer outing pitch wise and it would make the most sense to hold him for Thurs to give one more day rest

From a competitive standpoint I agree and there is no reason at all to throw him on four days rest as the game is meaningless. From a confidence/team momentum standpoint I will trust Johnson on that decision as well as how to proceed the rest of the tourney.

Statement game!

CJJ wants to show the committee that we can beat a top 5 team right now.

Start Holman

Sign me up for this. It could be a window into our future. I don't know how far you can make it without his arm working. It's best to give him a shot now so you can know whether or not you can count on it later.

If that's true, it's dumb. LSU should be playing the SEC tourney trying to get into a regional.

There's definitely a question.

There's allot that goes into throwing a pitcher on short rest. They probably have him throwing some this afternoon to see how his arm feels. If it feels good, he might throw again in the morning before a decision is made, if it doesn't, they will pitch him on Thursday. Some pitchers can come back from short rest, while some can't. Holman had a tired arm early in the season, but has pitched well his last several outings

Kinda agree with this.

Something else, don't know if it would come to pass,, but one projection had us paired opposite UK's regional.

Would prefer that be the first time they face our starter, not in the SECt.

why would you rest Holman for a week and a half?

Start him, let's keep playing while we are hot, i want a seed that isn't in the northwest.

Because he threw 96 pitches 4 days ago and we play two more games now. Why would you throw him at this point when you can throw Little, Ack, Guidry, Loer, and Ulloa? Throw Holman after the Kentucky game unless you lose and want to give a few younger guys experience.

Where we play matters less than the fact we are playing.

LSU doesn’t beat Kentucky with anyone else other than Holman or Jump. Gotta get all the big time wins we can so LSU doesn’t get shipped back out 2,000 miles to the Northwest again
